Exhibition: Dries Van Noten Inspirations

 

When I was on holiday in Antwerp, I went to visit the exhibition from Dries Van Noten. It's the very first time that Dries Van Noten expose his oeuvre in an exhibition. 

First the exhibition was to see in Paris at the Les Arts Décoratif museum. It's a walk down to his artistic world and a look inside his creative process.

The exhibition is filled with many influences from Spain, Mexico and Romania. 

Also the pop and art culture is represented in Inspirations. 

Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Francis Bacon and Damien Hirst they all have spot in the exhibition.

Definitely a must-see if you are in Antwerp. You can visit Dries Van Noten Inspirations until 19th July 2015.

Interior Life by Gert Voorjans

 "I like strange objects, excessive proportions, monstrosities too.

Gert Voorjans

Gert Voorjans is a Belgian interior architect based in Antwerp. 

He designed the shop Coccodrillo for men in Antwerp. He is the interior architect for all of shops from Dries Van Noten in the world. 

He also designed a house for Mick Jagger and an apartment for Nina Garcia.

His book, Interior Life, is about his occupation as an interior architect. 

He tells about his inspiration for his work and about his craftsmanship of his job.

You can also find moodboards and clippings in Interior Life. 

Also his taste for contrast: expensive and cheap, old and modern, simple and extravagant.

A very original en beautiful shaped book with paper in thickness, size, colors, a Japanese binding en ten colorful bookmark ribbons.

 Interior Life is now for sale and cost 100 euros.

Yesterday I went for a dinner with my mom. We went to the Spork Foodcafé in Zolder.
From the menu I took some game and it's was very delicious.

A Touch of Blue

This was my outfit from this Friday for the first Antwerp Fashion Night! I added the hat to make it less formal. Unfortunately I forgot my camera and my iPod :( So I couldn't take some pictures from the day and night. 
I also went to do some shopping in Antwerp. Saw a great purple coat COS and some great earrings at H&M. 
Didn't buy the coat, but maybe I will buy it online.

Color Perfect

When I saw this jacket on the the designer stock sale from Dries Van Noten, I immediately fell in love with it.
The color and the details are just perfect. It's really a timeless piece.
