Exhibition: Dries Van Noten Inspirations

When I was on holiday in Antwerp, I went to visit the exhibition from Dries Van Noten. It's the very first time that Dries Van Noten expose his oeuvre in an exhibition.
First the exhibition was to see in Paris at the Les Arts Décoratif museum. It's a walk down to his artistic world and a look inside his creative process.

The exhibition is filled with many influences from Spain, Mexico and Romania.
Also the pop and art culture is represented in Inspirations.
Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Francis Bacon and Damien Hirst they all have spot in the exhibition.

Definitely a must-see if you are in Antwerp. You can visit Dries Van Noten Inspirations until 19th July 2015.

Event: New Look Festival Fever

Last week I went to the New Look Festival Fever in Antwerp. I'm a huge fan of New Look, so this event was perfect for me.
You could shop with - 20 %. There were also free drinks and shakey tunes by Ouni.
You could also do your hair and make-up and win a voucher from 75 euro to spend in New Look.
I also met Lima from Lima's wardrobe and a lot of other bloggers.
You could also take your picture, which I of course did.

Thank you Karen, Sheila and Laura for a great evening!!!

Event: Opening Salima Thakker Store

Last year I was invited to the opening of the new store from Salima Thakker.
She had a pop-up store in Knokke in the summer from last year and now she has moved to the center of Antwerp.
She has moved her store from Oever 28 to the Kloosterstraat in Antwerp.
I was really suprised by this street, because I never went there before. I really liked the feeling there.
Vintage furniture shops, cosy places to eat,... the Kloosterstraat has it all.

The house was build in the 19th century and was formely known as they say in Antwerp: a druppelkot.
For the interior, the store was designed by B-bis architects. They already designed stores for icons like Walter Van Beirendonck, Veronique Branquinho en Annemie Verbeke.
They designed a island cabinet where all the jewelry is exposed. The walls of the store were coated with copper plates with on it wooden slats.
Some big mirrors make the interior complete.

The jewellery from Salima Thakker is known for here fine and delicate craftsmanship.
They're totally not for my budget, but they're also nice to see.

Event: Re-Opening LEE Store Antwerp

Last thursday I was invited (together with a my friend Natalie) to the re-opening from the LEE Store in Antwerp.
The brand is celebrating 125 years LEE.
So they decided to make-over there stores in big cities in the world.

After Paris, Antwerp was honored to be redesigned.
They made the store with a lot of wood, which I really loved when I entered the new store.
I also love the tiny details like the picture frames, the little guys in LEE outfit and the belts where the clothing racks where hung up.
Some models showed also the new Fall/Winter collection 2014.

There was also a lot of foodies, drinks and there where 2 female dj's for the great music.

My Personal Shopper

A couple of months ago I went for 3 days on holiday in Antwerp.
I really love Antwerp, one of my favorite cities to shop. I already went shopping there, but that was only for one day.
So then my mom came up with the idea to stay 3 days in Antwerp.

On Sunday we visited the Zoo in Antwerp, because my mom never went to it. I've already been there with high school to see behind the scenes of the zoo.
On monday I had a appointment with a personal shopper, which I really loved.
I really wanted this for so long, so it was really a nice gift from my mum.

I was expected in the Inno on the Meir in Antwerp. Caroline from C Styling made me up with make-up and gave me advice about which colors I use the best for my make-up.
She also had a color palette which she held on my neck, to see which colors suits me the best.
I'm a summer type, so I can wear most of the colors.

Then we went for some shopping at the Meir.
I went to the WE and H&M. In the WE she picked some clothes so I could try them on and maybe buy them.
In the H&M the same.

It was really a great experience.
Somebody who's picking out your clothes and you've only to follow and try the clothes on.

Thank you mum and Caroline from C Styling for this unforgettable experience!!!
